Marko Djordjevic, international renowed drummer, is coming directly from New York city to join forces together with local musicians Roberto Badoglio on bass and Bjössi Klütsch on guitar for a night of powerful jazz fusion blanded with many influences, such as funk, grunge, drum&bass and balcanic folk music.

Roberto Badoglio:

One of the most in demand bass players in the Berlin area, Roberto is member of the world stars fusion band “Beyond Turbines” with Steve Hunt on keys, Virgil Donati on drums and Bjössi Klütsch on guitar.Their debut album “Beyond Turbnes” released in 2015 received a lot of attention from the jazz fusion/prog public and they are estabilishing theirself as a new powerful voice in the genre.

He also released other works in the vest of leader or coleader:

“Almost Even” with the band “ Oddflow”, together with guitar player Hara Garacci and drummer Louis Cato in 2005, “Re-Evaluation Time”, Roberto first solo album in 2010, “Nightwalker” by “The Silent Jazz Ensemble” co-composed and produced together with Helmut Engel musehold and released in 2014, Beyond Turbines in 2015 and a new solo album “Lapse of worry” due in 2016 which will features Marko Djordjevic on drums, Bjössi Klütsch and special guest Seamus Blake on sax.

He studied in Berklee college of music from 2005/2006 and privately with trombonist jazz guru Hal Crook, bassist luminares Matthew Garrison, Dominique Di Piazza and Sküli Sverrisson.While living in Boston Roberto had the luck of becoming part of the Joanne Brackeen Ensemble.

Considered by many as one of the most interesting bass players of the new generation thanks to his original approach to soloing and unique 4 fingers technique, harmonic sense and creative an advanced grooving style.

From 2007 to 2010 Roberto was living in New York, and moved since then in Berlin.

Marko Djordjevic:

Called a “world class drummer” and “a true innovator” by Modern Drummer magazine, Marko Djordjevic has
played on more than 40 albums and has thousands of live performances to his credit.

Some of the artists Djordjevic has performed and recorded with include: Matt Garrison, Wayne Krantz, Jonah Smith, Clarence Spady, Lucky Peterson, Jacques Schwartz-Bart, Garry Willis, Hal Crook, Bill Frisell, Lionel Loueke, Aaron Goldberg, The Itals, Chris McDermott, and Eric Lewis.

Djordjevic graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music, where he was accepted on a scholarship at the tender age of 16. One of the finest musicians of our era, Blue Note recording artist Lionel Loueke says: “Marko is one of the greatest drummers out there. He possesses incredible technique, and a musical mind to match it! I love playing with him because he is so creative and unique!”

For more than ten years SVETI has been the creative outlet for Djordjevic. As the composer for SVETI, he writes music inspired by the rich musical tradition of his Balkan roots, but with a nod to the “Western” artists who have influenced him; from Coltrane and Weather Report to Zappa and the Police.

Bjössi Klütsch

Guitarist Bjössi Klütsch was born and raised in a musician family in Bamberg, Germany.

When he was 6 years old he started to play the violin and later changed his instrument to guitar. In 2002 he went to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and graduated from there in 2005. He studied with Tim Miller, Bruce Bartlett, Jon Finn, etc.

 

In 2007 he moved to Berlin and since has been involved in projects with musicians like Roberto Badoglio, Steve Hunt, Virgil Donati, Marko Djordjevic, etc.

 

At the same time he is currently teaching at the Universität der Künste (UdK), Berlin.
